Every wedding couple are different, and so it should be, all are unique, all are ideal couples. Having written and performed many wedding ceremonies, personally, the ideal ceremony is what works for you as a couple, its your day. As a celebrant, the ceremony, romantic, chilled, be happy, light-hearted, loving, meet your expectations. An ideal wedding, well, there are so many alternatives to choose from, a beach, your favourite place, classic or traditional, romantic, glamourous, and themed. Your first meeting with a celebrant is a non-obligation meeting for you to get a sense of what they’re actually like. It’s no surprise that booking a Wedding celebrant who matches the vision for your wedding day is important, so meeting your celebrant before you book them is the first step.
It’s a privilege to have met many loving, amazing, wonderful people, the minute we met, it’s like we had known each other for years. I will advise/guide you, making your ceremony unique and suited only to you and your family, chosen by you, not chosen for you. I know from the moment we meet; we will start to create the best ceremony ever.

Firstly, we need to meet up at some stage with you and your partner, we can agree on a mutual time, there are no time limits, I will visit you any day any time. (And its free) This meeting its about getting to know each other and ensuring I am the right Wedding Celebrant for your special day. UK Weddings (2024 Price) – £455 (£155 deposit, balance 6 weeks before your big day – no other costs will be added all inclusive) I am based just outside Newcastle under Lyme in a small village called Wood Lane, on the Staffordshire /Cheshire Border, my role takes me all over Staffordshire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Liverpool, Midlands, Yorkshire, and the UK.
Yes, I am covered by £8m public liability insurance and £1m professional indemnity insurance through Balens – the UK Society of Celebrants broker.
Yes, I am a member of UKSOC (United Kingdon Society of Celebrants) and qualified to Diploma level for adult weddings and funerals. All my wedding Couples The basic or “2+2” ceremony is a short ceremony that just includes the legal elements needed to perform a marriage. The only people to attend will be yourselves, your two witnesses and the registrars. It is the cheapest and shortest option available. It only includes a declaration, contracting words and an optional ring vow, chosen from a short standard selection. Couples always choose this if engaging a Celebrant for a more personal and freedom of what they would like in their chosen ceremony. (Check your local registrar for conformation and booking)
Registrars are employed by the local authority and are authorised to conduct legally binding marriage and civil partnership ceremonies. They are also responsible for the administration of registering births, marriages, and deaths. Celebrants are self-employed and conduct non-legally binding celebration ceremonies. The most significant difference is that you will have a ceremony that is unique and personal to you.
A Celebrant like me writes a bespoke ceremony script just for you – no two ceremonies will be the same. Registrars simply “fill in the gaps” of a standard ceremony script. A personal Wedding Ceremony includes many different elements – your love story is told. You can write your own personal wedding vows, have traditional vows, Have both – with my help and guidance. You may be lucky to get a choice of a couple of basic sentences when using a Registrar. A Celebrant gets to know you as they plan your ceremony, so that you feel comfortable and prepared. You wouldn’t meet a Registrar until your wedding day. I always ensure my ceremonies are unique to each couple. Some are intimate and brief, others longer and more complex but all will be absolutely personal! I always meet all my couples personally, many many times, your ceremony needs to be right for you and am often booked many months before the Wedding Day. We work together to produce the perfect ceremony that reflects you as a couple. One of the best advantages is that you can hold your Wedding Ceremony wherever you like, and at whatever time you like. There is nothing stopping you hosting a moonlit midnight wedding ceremony under the stars if that takes your fancy!
Definitely not, Celebrant-led weddings are becoming increasingly popular as people want a service that is personal to them and truly reflects them as a couple. The legal part involves the above. The ceremony itself is what makes your wedding so special. You can include all your family and guests as much or as little as you want in your ceremony.
Generally, 3 pieces, bride entrance, signing of certificate and bride and groom exit, however you can decide on whatever you want. I will help and guide you; I have a large selection of resources including readings, poems and music should you need inspiration.
Absolutely, many couples choose to do this, it adds a real sense of meaning to the ceremony. I can provide you with resources to assist you and of course, I am more than happy to help or make suggestions and give you inspiration.
I love meeting brides and grooms personally; you need to ensure that I am the right Celebrant for your special day. We shall meet firstly with a no obligation meeting (yes something for free). Once we have met, Brides and Grooms feel like they have known me forever and we become great friends. You can then confirm via email or call to confirm the booking, once booked an initial deposit would be required to secure your date
