Understanding Time Slots

What are Time Slots? Time slots determine how you schedule your availability for bookings. They let your clients know when you’re available and for how long. This is important for event suppliers, such as wedding photographers, DJs, or caterers, who may only take one booking a day and want to show availability for full-day events.

Time Slot Length

The time slot length is the default duration of each booking period. This helps structure your day, especially if you offer services in specific intervals.

Example: If you set the time slot length to 30 minutes, your clients will see available booking times at 30-minute intervals (e.g., 10:30 am, 11:00 am, 11:30 am, etc.)

Event Supplier Tip: Most event suppliers, like wedding photographers or entertainers, will only take one booking per day. In this case, it’s a good idea to set your default time slot to ‘1 day’ to reflect this.
Default time slot length: 5 minutes (but you can customise it as needed).

Match Slot Length to Service Duration

If your services have a fixed duration (e.g., a photographer’s package is 8 hours), you can set the slot length to match the service duration.

Example: If your service lasts 1 hour, your available slots will appear every hour (e.g., 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm). This helps ensure clients book exactly what you’re offering.

The Default setting for this is disabled.
