Understanding the different widget options in custom forms

Overview

Want to create a custom booking form but don’t understand what each widget does? This guide will talk you through each option!

Label 

You can use the stand alone Label widget as title or question. If you are asking a question with it, you will need to put a box separately underneath so that the customer can answer the question.

For example, You could use the label to ask the question ‘What time would you like me to arrive’ and then use the time input widget underneath. 

Text input

This widget is used as so that your customer can add text or reply to a question. Use this for short answers.

For example, you could use the text input to ask for special requests 

Text area

You can add this in to allow your customers to reply to your question with a longer answer. Use this for questions that require a longer answer.

Number input

You can add this into your form if you would like your customer to give you a total number.

For example, if you are a catering supplier and need to know guest numbers, you could use this.

Time input

You can use this in your form to obtain timings from your customers

In this example, we have used it to ask ‘what time would you like the wedding car to arrive’

File

You can use this in your form to retrieve files.

For example, if you were a stationery supplier and needed to know the order of the day, you can have the customer upload that file here.

Link

You can use this to add a link into your form. This works well if you would like your customer to read and accept a contract.

For example you could use the link widget to add your terms & conditions

Radio Box

You can use this to allow your select one option.

For example: ‘Do you confirm you have read and accept my contract above?’

Yes or No.

Check Box

You can use this to allow your customers to select a couple of options from a pre-defined list. For example;

For example: What colours would you like to be featured in your bridal headband
