At Go Book It, we take pride in more than just facilitating direct connections between event planners and suppliers, bypassing the need for big booking agencies (and their big booking fees!). Not only do we prioritise this seamless networking, but we also dedicate a substantial amount of our time to championing and driving traffic to these small businesses.
Why? Well, it goes beyond our deep-rooted passion for empowering small businesses, it’s because our success is intricately linked to the success of our listed suppliers.
In the spirit of recognising outstanding contributors to the events industry, this year, we’ve decided to shine an even brighter spotlight on suppliers who are truly making waves and serving as a source of inspiration for us here at Go Book It.
Kicking off our Supplier of the Month feature for January is none other than the exceptional Abigail Marie Bridal.
We first discovered Abigail Marie on Instagram, and we were instantly captivated by the exquisite intricacy of her bespoke bridal accessories. As we engaged in direct conversation with her, our initial awe transformed into a profound sense of inspiration. Despite juggling a full-time job, Abigail successfully launched her business in the summer of 2023 and has been consistently thriving ever since.
My name is Abigail, I am 27 years old,
I started making beaded headbands back in lockdown in 2020 after my FiancĂ© suggested I would be able to do it! I enjoyed making them and seeing what I could create! After a while I created a little online business where people could order custom headbands, this went well but after almost a year, I decided I  had to prioritise my studies and we had our little girl Harper so I stopped.Â
In 2022 my best friend got engaged and we went wedding dress shopping! I saw tiaras, vails, combs etc for hair accessories but I didn’t notice any headbands in one shop there was a few however when my friend tried it on with her dress it didn’t look right, she mentioned how she really liked the idea of wearing a headband, and said to me “I bet you could make one” so with that I did! I surprised her with a custom headband which I knew would match her dress!Â
Emma’s Bridal Hairstylist Georgia, saw my headband and fell in love! She mentioned how she would love it if I would make headbands if her brides requested it, and with Georgias positive boost I decided to set back up and make more!Â
Since August 2023 I’ve been overwhelmed with the support from local business within Hull and East Yorkshire. I’ve been involved in styled shoots, I’ve been asked if they can stock my headbands in bridal shops, been invited to attend local wedding fayres and I’ve had orders!Â
This year I’m looking forward to attending the National Wedding Show in London and hope to promote my little business even more!Â
